Executive Director
Kelly Elliott was named Executive Director of the Mississippi State Fire Academy (MSFA) in June 2023. Elliott served as Fire Chief of the Tupelo Fire Department prior to his appointment.
He also served as the 172nd Airlift Wing Command Chief at Thompson Field in Jackson and serves as a drill member. Elliott was an instructor at the Mississippi State Fire Academy from 1998-2003.
He enlisted in the United States Air Force as a firefighter in 1991. Elliott, his wife and three sons live in Brandon.
