Andy Case

Director of Consumer Services

Andy Case joined the Mississippi Insurance Department in 2010 after serving for over 23 years in various leadership capacities with a large P & C insurer, working in the states of Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee and Kentucky. Andy is a graduate of Mississippi College with a B.S. in Business Administration. He is an Associate in Claims (A.I.C.) and a Fraud Claim Law Specialist (F.C.L.S.).

Mission

The Consumer Services Division (CSD) assists insurance consumers with complaints and inquiries regarding insurance companies, producers, and adjusters. The CSD investigates all complaints, working with the insurance company and the consumer to determine the appropriate course of action. CSD representatives travel statewide to provide educational information and materials regarding insurance issues. In the event of significant storm damage, they also travel to damaged areas to assist homeowners with filing claims and procuring emergency living expenses.

What We Accomplish

Over 16,000 requests for assistance were made in 2013 resulting in excess of $2.8 million being refunded to policyholders.
