Congratulations FF 1001 I-II Class 144!

Currently we have 1055 Certified Mississippi Smoke Divers.  We would like to invite all Smoke Diver Alumni to attend the graduation/celebration of the 100th Smoke Diver class.

Members of the Mississippi Fire Service Delegation met May 7-10, 2013 with Mississippi Congressional Delegates in Washington for Fire Service Institute Week.

Congratulations FF 1001 I-II Class 143!

The next meeting of the Mississippi Fire Personnel Minimum Standards and Certification Board will take place July 10, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. here at the Mississippi Fire Academy.

The 76th Annual Mississippi Fire Chiefs & Firefighters Conference will be held May 30 - June 2, 2013 at the Natchez Convention Center.  Click here for Attendee Registration Form.

The Academy has been approved by the State Veterans Affairs Board as a public NCD school (Non-College Degree).  This means that we can start accepting Veteran's Benefits for students that want to use their G.I. Bill.  Currently, this is only for our Firefighter 1001 I-II classes.  We are evaluating the possibility of adding more of our courses to the approved list.

REMINDER-STUDENT CHANGE REQUESTS:  Any  requests for changes must be made in writing (Students swaps or cancellations) by the Chief or the Training Officer.  Written requests may be mailed, faxed or emailed.  No verbal notice will suffice.  Email gpeterson@msfa.state.ms.us or fax: (601) 932-2819
