Important Mississippi Insurance License Update
Effective November 10, 2017, the department will be providing a 90 day notification for license renewal for insurance producers, adjusters, entities and bail agents.
Please ensure that the department has your current business e-mail as renewal invoices and licenses will be sent to the business email address on record.
There is an option to print your license by registering with Sircon or AgencyEdge on Sircon’s/Vertafore Website. Sircon/AgencyEdge users may print the license free for 30 days.

You may verify/update your contact information, including mailing address and current e-mail address on the Sircon’s Website.
You can also download and complete an Address Change Form, then scan and email to licensing@mid.ms.gov.

instructions and forms. Questions pertaining to the licensing process should be directed to licensing@mid.ms.gov
or by calling the MID Licensing Division at (601) 359-3582.
APPLICATIONS PRINTED FROM THE MID WEBSITE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED IN PLACE OF THE RENEWAL INVOICE.
Duplicate renewal invoices must be requested in writing either by fax: 601-359-1951, email: licensing@mid.ms.gov or by mail: P O Box 79, Jackson, MS 39205.
Licenses can be renewed electronically, unless otherwise noted at www.sircon.com or www.nipr.com.

Insurance Producer Entity Renewal
The Insurance Producer Entity biennial renewal invoices are emailed by March 1 . Licenses may be renewed online 90 days prior to the expiration date. You may choose to return your paper renewal application and the license fee to the Department by the expiration date.
Non-residents: MID staff will verify home state licensure on the national state producer licensing database (SPLD).
For those with inactive licenses, if you wish to reinstate, you may submit a first-time Insurance Producer Entity or NAIC Uniform application or apply on-line.
Note: A reinstatement will result in a lapse in licensure. A late fee of 50% of the renewal fee will be assessed to all renewal invoices received after the renewal due date.

The Limited Lines Insurance Producer Entity biennial renewal invoices are emailed by March 1. Licenses may be renewed online 90 days prior to the expiration date. You may choose to return your paper renewal application and the license fee to the Department by the expiration date.

Managing General Agent (MGA) Renewal
Managing General Agent business entity biennial renewal invoices are emailed by March 1. This license is not available to be renewed on-line. Please mail completed renewal invoice with license fee to the Department.
A reinstatement will result in a lapse in licensure if you fail to renew your license before the license expiration date.
Non-residents: MID staff will verify home state licensure on the national state producer licensing database (SPLD).

Reinsurance Intermediary Manager/Broker Renewal
Reinsurance Intermediary Manager/Broker business entity renewal invoices are emailed the third week of December. If you failed to renew your license and wish to reinstate your license, you may submit a new application. A reinstatement will result in a lapse in licensure. There is not a penalty fee.
This license is not available to be renewed on-line. Please mail completed renewal invoice with license fee to the Department.
Non-residents: MID staff will verify home state licensure on the national state producer licensing database (SPLD).

Supervising General Agent Renewal
Supervising General Agent business entity biennial renewal invoices are emailed by March 1. Licenses may be renewed online 67 days prior to the expiration date. You may choose to return your paper renewal application and the license fee to the Department by the expiration date.
Non-residents: MID staff will verify home state licensure on the national state producer licensing database (SPLD).
A reinstatement will result in a lapse in licensure if you fail to renew your license before the license expiration date.

Third Party Administrator Renewal
Third Party Administrator business entity renewal invoices are emailed 90 days in advance of expiration. Licenses may be renewed online 90 days prior to the expiration date. You may choose to return your paper renewal and the license fee to the Department to be received by the expiration date.
Licenses not renewed during the renewal cycle require a new application to be submitted. A reinstatement will result in a lapse in licensure. There is not a penalty fee.

Portable Electronics Insurance Producer entity biennial renewal invoices will be emailed the week of October 25. Licenses may be renewed online 90 days prior to the expiration date.

Individual and Entity Adjuster Renewal
Adjuster Entity renewal invoices are emailed by March 1. Adjuster - Individual renewal invoices are emailed 90 days in advance of expiration.
If you do not receive the invoice, you may email a request for a duplicate invoice to: licensing@mid.ms.gov or fax 601-359-1951.
Or, you may renew your license on-line during your renewal period at www.sircon.com/Mississippi "Renew your license" or www.nipr.com.
MID staff will verify non-resident home state licensure on the national state producer licensing database (SPLD).
For those with inactive licenses: You may reinstate within 12 months of license expiration, apply on-line at www.sircon.com/Mississippi or www.nipr.com. or download and submit a first-time Adjuster application with required fees by mail.
Licenses expired over 12 months: Residents must re-apply as a first-time adjuster entity on-line or by paper. Nonresidents will re-apply as a first time adjuster and we will verify home state licensure with reciprocal exam on the SPLD.
Note: A reinstatement will result in a lapse in licensure. A late fee of 50% of the renewal fee will be assessed to all renewal invoices received after May 31 for entities and within 12 months of the license expiration date for individuals.
