How to Reschedule a Pearson VUE exam

All examinations, except for Industrial Life, are administered by: Pearson Vue. Exams are given in Jackson, Choctaw, Decatur, Ellisville, Fulton, Greenwood, Gulfport, Meridian, Mississippi State, Raymond, Ridgeland, Summit and Tupelo. 18 sites available in AL, AR, LA, and TN. You can register for an examination on the Pearson Vue website, www.pearsonvue.com. Pearson Vue may be reached by telephone at 888-293-4222. Industrial Life exams are offered by Home Service Life Council, they can be reached by telephone at 800-748-3189. Exam study books can be purchased from education providers listed in the study material sources link.

Continuing Education

Information for Agents

Insurance Producers, Adjusters and Bail Agents:

  • For Licenses in effect for 13-18 months: 12 hours of continuing education is required.
  • For Licenses in effect for 19-24 months: 24 hours of continuing education including three hours of ethics.
  • For Bail Licensees: there shall be no continuing education required for the first year of an original license, except:
  • For Bail Licensees: 8 hours of continuing education for each year or part of a year of the two-year license period, for a total of 16 hours per license period.

Insurance Producers, Adjusters and Bail Agents may now use www.sircon.com/mississippi to search for approved providers and courses, and check CE transcripts for insurance producers.

To check your Mississippi CE credits, click on the "Look up education courses/credits" on the Mississippi Producer portal home page. On the next screen, click on the "Continuing Education Transcript Inquiry" and select Mississippi as the state. To get your transcript you will need both your license number and social security number.

To search for approved providers and courses, click on the "Look up education courses/credits" on the Mississippi Producer portal home page. On the next screen, click on the "Approved Courses Inquiry" or "Approved Providers Inquiry". You may search by continuing education type. To find the phone numbers for the providers, click on the provider name. All providers and courses on www.sircon.com/mississippi are approved for Mississippi continuing education credit.

Please contact the course provider for credit discrepancies in your transcript.

Mississippi Education Providers may now process all CE and PE related transactions electronically through SIRCON including Course Offerings, Course Completions and Rosters. Education providers must submit paper applications when submitting/ renewing a course. Please review the links listed under "Information for Continuing Education Providers" for requirements.

  • National Flood Insurance Program

    NFIP Education and Training Resources

    FEMA requires three (3) hours of Flood training and training documentation if the agent has signed up for the NFIP Agent Leads Referral Program. MS Insurance Producers who sell Federal Flood insurance policies may satisfy minimum training and education requirements by completing a one-time, 3 hour NFIP related course.

On the next screen, click on the "Approved Courses Inquiry" or "Approved Providers Inquiry". You may search by continuing education type; e.g. Flood.
