Beth Reiss

Director of Public Relations

Beth Reiss joined the Mississippi Insurance Department in June 2018. She holds a B.A. degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in Broadcast Journalism. Before joining MID, Beth was a reporter at WHLT CBS 22 in Hattiesburg and spent 6 years at WJTV Channel 12 in Jackson. She is a member of the Public Relations Association of Mississippi-Central Mississippi Chapter.


Mission

The mission of the Division of Public Relations is to coordinate a public information program to publicize and advance Department objectives and consumer-related issues. The Division's goals include achieving full use of technology, including the Internet, to maximize the publicity of the Department's achievements and goals and to automate, as far as is practicable, all information distribution functions of all Divisions in order to increase the productivity of the Department's staff.
